Politcal Forum

On Wednesday October 1, 2008, YPN will produce our 2008 Political Forum titled, “Opportunity to Connect, A Conversation about the issues”. The forum will be held at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theater located in Arlington Virginia.  We have invited Senatorial and Presidential candidates in the 2008 Virginia General Elections in an effort to:

• Increase political awareness in the Northern Virginia community;
• Educate constituents on candidates’ platforms; and
• Increase voter registration and participation.

We want to be a catalyst in the political climate of our community.  Therefore, to ensure the success of this political forum, we invited candidates from the 8th, 10th and 11th districts as well as elected officials from the Northern Virginia Area. We are also partnering with over a dozen like-minded civic, political and professional organizations.

The program will consist of:

• Pre-forum candidate reception
• Presidential and Senatorial candidate speeches
• Questions to candidates from attendees
